Calculating the Economic Impact of the Kobe Marathon Event

Kobe held its first ever official marathon event last 20
November 2011.
In addition to promoting health consciousness among local residents through sports, the
Kobe Marathon event also provided all participants, the opportunity to share with the rest
of Japan and the world at large, experiences and lessons learned from the Great Hanshin
Awaji Earthquake, as well as to express appreciation for the long years of hard work to
achieve recovery.
